The world’s leading boxing promoter, Matchroom Boxing, partners with KOTA.
Matchroom Boxing is the world’s leading boxing promoter. Home to Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel Jacobs, Kell Brook, Callum Smith, Josh Kelly, Katie Taylor and many more!
In May 2018, Matchroom Boxing revealed boxing’s first $1 billion boxing deal (£750 million) as Matchroom and streaming service DAZN signed an agreement to stream shows across America to sit alongside an existing broadcast deal with Sky Sports in the UK.
The partnership will see KOTA deliver digital transformation for the group to support the new brand identity. The digital platform will be the primary destination for all media, ticket sales and promotion. The site will empower the marketing team to deliver engaging content. There is also a focus on generating increased revenue through an enhanced ‘Fight Pass’ module and VIP ticket sales for future events.
Jonathan Bradford, Managing Director of KOTA had this to say – “It’s incredibly exciting for KOTA to be given the opportunity to work in an industry we are extremely passionate about. We have full admiration for what the team at Matchroom have achieved in sport but its their ongoing drive and ambition that excites us the most. They are truly leaders in their field and constantly strive to bring innovation and creativity at every step.”
Scott Hammerton, Head of Social Media & Digital said “We’re delighted to be partnering with KOTA for the next phase of our rebranding strategy. What most attracted Matchroom to KOTA was their vision and passion for the project alongside their existing strong portfolio. After a few challenging months, we’re excited to be relaunching our fight nights and providing fans with a new and improved online platform in which they can stay updated with all of the latest Matchroom content and news.”
