Our remote team meet up: A fun day out in London!

Introduction.
As you might already know, our team is fully remote. This model has worked really well for us, with some people relocating outside of London (or even the UK) to enjoy a more peaceful life. After months of being unable to see each other because of the restrictions, our team finally met IRL last Friday.
While we’re happy with remote working, we know that seeing the team in person is important to maintain the company culture in the long run. Besides, we always have a lot of fun when we meet, so everyone was really looking forward to this day.

Pear Tree Cafe.
The day started with a coffee and catch up before going to minigolf. We all love a cup of decent coffee and Pear Tree Cafe definitely delivered. Bonus points for the nice location, just by the Boating Lake.

Putt in the Park.
Despite the rainy weather, as seasoned minigolfers, we decided to go ahead with our session. Those of us who were overly optimistic about the weather forecast received stylish waterproof ponchos (for fashion inspiration see pics below). The 12-hole course was challenging and we had a great time – mini golf is always a good idea for team outings.

The Lighthouse Pub.
We had lunch at the Lighthouse pub near Battersea Park, already tried-and-tested. Good choice of dishes, catering to both meat-eaters and vegans. They have a big garden, luckily covered so we could shelter from the rain!

Hijingo Bingo.
If you follow us on social media, you might already know about our latest partnership with Hijingo Bingo. It’s an exciting, new concept by State of Play group, with whom we worked on the website for Bounce ping pong club.
We had to experience it first-hand to get some inspiration for their new website. Sadly, none of us won any prizes, yet we were really impressed by their creative take on the traditional game of bingo. They easily accommodated our team, so we highly recommend Hijingo for a night out with a larger group.

Old Street Records Bar.
Our last stop was at another client of ours – Old Street Records bar. Drinks and live music, what else could you ask for? We couldn’t possibly stop ourselves from demonstrating our *legendary* dance moves. Great way to end the day!
