Annoushka Star Charm online advertising

Introduction.

We love our animation projects here at Kota, so when Annoushka Jewellery got in touch with us to help them market their new product, we jumped at the chance.

They were looking to raise awareness of their new ‘Star Charm’ via the use of an animated video which would be rolled out over Christmas on their social media platforms and website.

I. Modelling.

Firstly we had to do some work on the Star’s manufacturing CAD model. Then, once everything was in the right place, we made it look beautiful with materials and textures :

II. 3D Environment.

Once the star was ready, within Cinema4D we started creating the 3D environment using the storyboards :

III. Animation.

Next was the fun bit. Within the 3D environment we applied realistic particle and wind simulators to the floating leaf which the camera follows through the scene.

Below is an early ‘animatic’ draft which we shared with the clients to confirm placements of objects and the camera work. These are always low fidelity to save on rendering time.
