Nutopia are an independent TV production studio headquartered in London. They work with the industry's most significant networks, including National Geographic and Disney +, BBC, Netflix and others. Since their inception in 2008, they have been contributing to the development of the ‘mega-doc’ format, reimagining documentaries with a cinematic approach and dramatic storytelling. Our strong creative portfolio for film and TV led Nutopia to partner with us on their website redesign. We delivered a best-in-class platform, aiming to showcase the great work they produce as well as convey their mission and values.
Nutopia's website is centred around showcasing their portfolio of innovative shows. From our very first meeting, they wanted the website to feel 'light' and spacious, giving their production photography a space to breathe. Visually, they also wanted to avoid coming across as dark and mysterious. We chose a light colour palette which was balanced with Nutopia's brand colours - green and a darker grey. We utilised a toned-down brand green and used it as an accent colour throughout the website to give it a more premium, modern aesthetic. Each production case study features trailer videos, photography and press quotes as well as all the important show information. Early on, together we also decided that a stand-alone 'Awards' page would be beneficial, as they have won numerous awards for various shows.
